The Gone Song

by Anne Lenzi

This is a sing-back song were the line is sung and then repeated (I really wish I knew how to read/write music, if I could I could explain how this is sung.  It's kind of like a Southern Dirge. Check out "Oh Death" on the O' Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack to get an idea)

Oh, my cat-is-gone

(my cat is gone)

Oh, my cat-is-gone!

(my cat is gone)

And all-the-cats

(and all the cats)

Sing the cat-gone-song

(sing the cat gone song)

[Everyone sings] meow! meow! meow!

Oh, my dog-is-gone

(my dog is gone)

Oh, my dog-is-gone!

(my dog is gone)

And all-the-dogs

(and all the dogs)

Sing the dog-gone-song

(sing the dog gone song)

[Everyone sings] woof! woof! woof!

Oh, my lizard's gone

(my lizard's gone)

Oh, my lizard's gone!

(my lizard's gone)

And all-the-lizards

(and all the lizards)

Sing the lizard-gone-song

(sing the lizard gone song)

[Everyone sings] flick! flick! flick! (like a lizard tongue flicking)

Repeat for whatever animal you would like
